Autism for Badass Moms Community Guidelines
Welcome to a space built for honesty, strength, vulnerability, and connection.
We are mothers navigating autism — and that requires courage.
This community exists to uplift, support, educate, and empower.
To protect that energy, here are our guidelines:
1- Respect Is Non-Negotiable
-
No shaming
-
No attacking
-
No belittling someone’s parenting choices
-
No minimizing someone’s experience
Every autism journey looks different.
Different children. Different needs. Different resources.
We honor all of it.
2- No Comparison Culture
This is not a competition.
-
Not about therapies.
-
Not about milestones.
-
Not about coping styles.
-
Not about who is “handling it better.”
Comparison steals peace.
We don’t allow it here.
3- Confidentiality Matters
What is shared in this space stays in this space.
-
Do not screenshot posts.
-
Do not share someone’s story outside this community.
-
Protect each other’s privacy.
Trust is sacred.
4- Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech or Discrimination
No racism.
No ableism.
No sexism.
No homophobia.
No religious discrimination.
No political hostility.
We are diverse.
We are layered.
We are global.
Respect it.
5- No Medical or Legal Absolutes
You may share:
-
What worked for you
-
Your personal experiences
-
Resources you found helpful
You may not:
-
Present advice as universal medical or legal fact
-
Pressure another mom into a specific treatment path
Encourage. Don’t prescribe.
6- Crisis & Safety
If someone expresses:
-
Active suicidal thoughts
-
Intent to harm themselves or others
-
Immediate safety concerns
Moderators may:
-
Encourage professional support
-
Share crisis resources
-
Temporarily restrict comments if necessary
This space is supportive — but it is not a substitute for emergency services.
7- No Spam or Self-Promotion Without Permission
This is a support community — not a sales floor.
-
No unsolicited promotions
-
No affiliate drops
-
No cold pitching
If you have a resource that could truly help moms, message moderators first.
8- Hold Space — Don’t Fix Everything
Sometimes a mom doesn’t need:
-
Advice
-
A strategy
-
A correction
Sometimes she just needs:
“I see you.”
Lead with empathy.
9- Language & Tone
We allow real emotions.
We allow venting.
We allow frustration.
We do not allow:
-
Personal attacks
-
Harassment
-
Bullying
-
Threats
There’s a difference between raw and reckless.
10- Remember Who You Are
You are raising a child in a world that doesn’t always make space for them.
That alone requires strength most people will never understand.
We call ourselves “badass” not because we’re perfect —
but because we keep showing up.
Protect this space.
Protect each other.
Protect your peace.
11- Moderation Policy
Moderators reserve the right to:
-
Remove posts or comments that violate guidelines
-
Issue warnings
-
Remove repeat offenders
Our goal is not punishment.
Our goal is safety.
